Generally acknowledged to be very competive with the Suunto MC-B, the made in Sweden Silva Ranger 2.0 sells for about one half the price of the MC-2. And you still get a lot of tools with this compass, like a similar case and mirror, and it's very reliable.

A great alternative if you would like to save some money.
